Terms of Use
Last updated: 2 October 2026
1. About These Terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the EnergyInsider website and services (the "site"), operated by Blueberry Drive Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), trading as EnergyInsider.
Blueberry Drive Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14338902, with its registered office at 5th Floor, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF. We are not registered for VAT. You can contact us through our contact page or at help@energyinsider.io.
By accessing or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you buy a paid plan, these terms form the contract between you and us. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your personal data and forms part of these terms.
2. Consumers and Business Customers
Some of these terms apply differently depending on whether you are a consumer or a business customer.
- You are a consumer if you are an individual using the site wholly or mainly for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession.
- You are a business customer if you use the site, or buy a plan, in the course of your trade, business or profession, or on behalf of a company or other organisation.
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
Insider Pro for Companies (section 12) is available to business customers only. Clauses marked as applying to consumers do not apply to business customers.
3. Your Account
To access certain features, you must register for an account. You must be at least 18 years old to register. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering
- Keep your password secure and not share it with others
- Use your account yourself only; each account and each team seat is for one named person
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
- Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
We may suspend or terminate an account that materially or repeatedly breaches these terms. Where we do so for a paid plan, we will tell you why, and if the breach can be put right, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to do so first. If we end a paid plan for a reason other than your breach, we will refund any fees paid for the period after it ends.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the site to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of Blueberry Drive Ltd or any third party
- Upload or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or harmful
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account
- Use automated means to scrape, crawl, or extract content or data, including RaiseIndex data, without our prior written permission
- Interfere with the operation or security of the site
- Send unsolicited marketing to anyone whose details you obtained through the site, except in compliance with applicable data protection and electronic marketing laws
5. Content and Intellectual Property
All content published on the site, including text, images, graphics, audio, video, reports, learning modules and RaiseIndex data, is owned by or licensed to Blueberry Drive Ltd and is protected by copyright, database rights and other intellectual property laws.
You may access and use content for your own personal use or, if you are a business customer or use the site in your work, for your own internal business purposes. You may share short extracts with attribution to EnergyInsider. Otherwise, you may not reproduce, distribute, resell, modify, or republish any content without our express written permission.
6. User-Submitted Content
Where the site allows you to submit or post content, including an editorial post under section 12, you retain ownership of that content. By submitting it, you grant Blueberry Drive Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, edit for length, accuracy and style, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the site.
You are solely responsible for any content you submit and confirm that it is accurate, does not violate any law or third-party rights, and does not promote, offer or invite investment in any company, security or opportunity. Editorial posts submitted under a paid plan are published as paid partner content and labelled as such. We may decline, edit or remove submitted content at our discretion.
7. Membership Plans
We offer the following plans. The benefits of each plan are described on our pricing page at the time you sign up.
| Plan | Billing | Available to |
|---|---|---|
| Insider | Free | Everyone |
| Insider+ | Monthly or annually | Everyone |
| Insider Pro | Monthly or annually | Everyone |
| Insider Pro for Companies | Annually, by invoice | Business customers only |
The Insider plan is free and involves no payment. We will not charge you unless you choose to upgrade to a paid plan.
8. Payments, Billing and Renewal
- All prices are stated clearly before purchase. As we are not registered for VAT, no VAT is charged on our prices.
- Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
- Monthly plans are billed in advance each month. Annual plans are billed in advance for a 12-month term.
- Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the price then in effect, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- We will email you renewal reminders. For annual plans, we will email you 30 days and 7 days before each renewal. For monthly plans, we will email you at least 7 days before a renewal payment, at least once in every six months. We will also email you 30 days and 7 days before the first full-price payment after any discounted period. Each reminder will state the renewal date and amount, any change in price, and how to cancel.
- If a payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until payment is made.
9. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancelling. You may cancel a paid plan at any time from your account settings or through our contact page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access to your plan's benefits until then.
Refunds. Except as set out in this section and in sections 11 and 14, fees are non-refundable, including where you cancel part-way through a billing period.
Your 14-day right to cancel (consumers only). If you are a consumer, you may cancel a new paid plan within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, except as set out below for RaiseIndex.
RaiseIndex during the first 14 days. RaiseIndex is digital content. If you choose to access RaiseIndex within 14 days of buying Insider Pro, we will ask you to confirm that you want immediate access and that you understand you will lose your right to cancel for RaiseIndex once you access it. We will confirm your choice by email. If you then cancel within the 14 days, we will refund the amount you would have paid for Insider+ for the same billing period, rather than the full Insider Pro price. If you prefer to keep your full refund right, you can wait until the 14 days have passed before accessing RaiseIndex.
To cancel within the 14 days, use the cancel option in your account settings or contact us through our contact page. We will refund you within 14 days, using the payment method you used. Nothing in this section affects your other statutory rights.
Cancelling after an annual renewal (consumers only). If your annual plan renews for a further 12 months, you may cancel within 14 days of the renewal date by using the cancel option in your account settings or contacting us through our contact page. We will refund the renewal payment, less a proportionate amount for each day of the new term before you cancelled.
Business customers. The 14-day right to cancel does not apply to business customers or to Insider Pro for Companies.
10. Offers and Promotions
From time to time we may run offers, such as a discount on a plan for a limited period. Each offer will state its terms, including which plans and billing periods it covers, how long the discount lasts, and when the offer closes. Unless the offer says otherwise:
- offers are for new subscribers only and cannot be combined with other offers;
- a discount applies to the first billing period only, after which the plan renews at the standard price shown at the time you signed up; and
- offers have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
11. RaiseIndex
Insider Pro and Insider Pro for Companies include access to RaiseIndex, our investor database. RaiseIndex is expected to be available from 1 November 2026.
If RaiseIndex is delayed. If RaiseIndex is not available by 31 January 2027, you may cancel your plan and receive a pro-rata refund of the fees paid for the period in which it was unavailable.
Definitions. An "active" investor is one that has made, or publicly confirmed it is making, an investment within the last 12 months. A "verified" investor is one whose identity and investment activity have been checked by our research team within the last 12 months. The number of investors listed may change over time.
Your use of RaiseIndex. RaiseIndex is for your own use, or your company's internal use under section 12. You must not copy, resell, share or extract its data in bulk. To protect the database, we may limit the number of investor profiles you can view or export each day. You are responsible for ensuring that any contact you make with investors listed in RaiseIndex complies with applicable data protection and electronic marketing laws, including UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003.
12. Insider Pro for Companies
Insider Pro for Companies is sold to business customers only, by invoice, for a 12-month term. It renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date, and we will email your account contact at least 30 days before each renewal. By buying it, you confirm that you are acting in the course of business and have authority to bind your company to these terms.
Seats. The plan includes Insider Pro access for up to 3 named team members of your company. Seats may not be shared or used by anyone outside your company. You may reassign a seat when a team member leaves.
Editorial post. Your company may submit one editorial post for publication in each 12-month term. Posts are subject to our Editorial Guidelines, published on our website, and to our approval, may be edited for length, accuracy and style, and will be clearly labelled as paid partner content. Posts must not promote, offer or invite investment in any company, security or opportunity. A post not submitted within the term does not carry over and has no cash value.
YETI bottles. Each team member will receive one custom YETI Rambler 26 oz Bottle with EnergyInsider branding per term. Bottles are dispatched within 30 days of payment, while stocks last, to addresses in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, Switzerland, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Israel. We may also deliver to other countries on request, at our discretion. We pay delivery costs and any import duties or taxes. Team members based elsewhere will receive a product of equal or greater value, or no bottle, at our discretion, and the plan price is not reduced. If bottles are unavailable, we may provide a product of equal or greater value.
Refunds. Fees for Insider Pro for Companies are non-refundable, except as set out in sections 11 and 14.
13. Not Investment Advice
Content on the site, including coverage of companies raising capital, curated investor lists, editorial posts and RaiseIndex, is provided for information only. It does not constitute an offer, invitation, inducement or recommendation to invest in any company, security or opportunity, and is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Blueberry Drive Ltd is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. You should seek independent professional advice before making any investment decision.
14. Changes to Plans and Prices
We may change plan prices or benefits from time to time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email of any price increase or material reduction in benefits.
- Price increases apply only from your next renewal. You may cancel before then if you do not wish to continue.
- If we materially reduce the benefits of a plan during a paid billing period, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund for the remainder of that period.
15. Availability
We aim to keep the site available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the site for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control, and will try to give notice of planned downtime. If paid features are unavailable for an extended period, we will extend your billing period or give a proportionate refund.
16. Third-Party Links
The site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites and encourage you to review their terms and privacy policies independently. A link does not mean we endorse that site.
17. Our Responsibilities and Disclaimers
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill, and our digital content will be as described. We take care to make our content accurate, but markets move quickly and we cannot guarantee that every item is complete or up to date.
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to digital content and services that are faulty or not as described; nothing in these terms affects those rights. Advice about your legal rights is available from Citizens Advice.
If you are a business customer, and to the extent permitted by law, the site and content are provided on an "as is" basis and we exclude all warranties, conditions and terms not expressly set out in these terms.
18. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable. We provide the site for domestic and private use, so we have no liability to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
If you are a business customer, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the relevant claim.
We are not liable for any investment or business decision you make based on content on the site.
19. Trade Marks
EnergyInsider and RaiseIndex are trade marks of Blueberry Drive Ltd. YETI and Rambler are trade marks of YETI Coolers, LLC, which does not sponsor or endorse EnergyInsider or its plans. Other names and logos on the site belong to their respective owners.
20. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your home nation, and you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law that applies where you live.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in our services. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. If you have a paid plan and a change materially affects you, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you may cancel before then under section 14. Otherwise, continued use of the site after changes are published means you accept the revised terms.
22. Contact and Complaints
If you have any questions or a complaint about these terms or our services, contact us through our contact page or write to Blueberry Drive Ltd, 5th Floor, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and send a full response within 10 working days. If we need longer, we will tell you why and when to expect our response.
